As we move closer to the start of the Legends stage, when the teams would take it to the stages to show off their Counter-Strike skills, things are getting more interesting than ever. On the second day of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, we had our first set of teams making their way to de_airport.

Paris Major 2023 Challengers Stage - Day 2 - ENCE and G2 march on to the Legends stage

Things kicked off on Day 2, with paiN facing off against Complexity on Nuke. Complexity were of no match to the Brazillian powerhouse that paiN are turning out to be. Registering their third win of the tournament so far, paiN moved up to the third spot in the standings, with one foot in the doorstep of the Legends stage. The next game held us back in Nuke, as we saw Grayhound duking it out against the Mongolz, registering a close 16-10 win to keep their hopes of making it through to the Legends stage alive.

For the third game of the day, we moved to Ancient, where FORZE were pitted against Monte. FORZE won by a 10-round margin, and strengthened their hold on the fourth spot in the points table. On Mirage, the Ninjas in Pyjamas stretched their game against OG into overtime, getting their second win of the tournament playing on Mirage.

Towards the end of the day, we moved on to the best of three matches. The first one on the list had G2 pitted against Apeks, who at the start of the day were at the top of the charts. G2 registered back-to-back wins on Anubis and Inferno to seal the deal quickly and secure their spot in the Legends stage, finishing 1-2 in the Challengers stage.

The second best-of-three matchup had ENCE facing off against FaZe, whose form has been like a tiny boat stuck in the middle of a sea storm. FaZe started out well, sealing the deal on Overpass 16-12. But when they moved on to Nuke, ENCE bounced back and defeated FaZe 16-13. On Anubis, the run of form continued for ENCE as they sealed the deal 16-8 in their favour, joining G2 for a 1-2 finish to their Challengers stage campaign, which got them a seat in the Legends stage. It was easy for ENCE afterall!

GamerLegion also won 2-0 in their best of three match against MOUZ, bringing the second day of the Challengers stage to a close. At the end of Day 2 of the proceedings, here’s how the points table looks like –
