Upcoming Oppo foldable phone spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 888

Oppo is likely to introduce a new foldable phone at its Inno Day 2021 Event that’s set for December 14, and the same has allegedly been spotted on the Geekbench benchmark listing. This will be the second foldable phone from Oppo and probably the first to come with an in-ward folding screen as on Samsung’s Galaxy Fold series phones.

This upcoming foldable phone, which will allegedly be called Find N, earlier made an appearance on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in China and was also recently spotted on the Camera FV-5 website.

Oppo Foldable Phone Specifications

According to the Geekbench listing, Oppo's foldable phone will be powered by Snapdragon 888 octa-core chipset. Qualcomm only recently announced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship for 2022 flagships, but the foldable phone from Oppo has understandably been under works for a while. The listing also mentions 12GB RAM and Android 11 as the base software.

It is also rumoured to include an 8-inch LTPO display with 2K resolution and 120Hz variable refresh rate.

According to camera specifications leaked on the Camera FV-5 website, this foldable will include a 12.6 MP primary sensor, paired with an f/1.8 aperture lens and equipped with OIS. The front camera resolution is allegedly 8.1 MP and the sensor is paired with an f/2.4 lens and EIS. These could very well point to resolution after binning from 50MP rear and 32MP front sensors.

Oppo new foldable phone

At the Oppo Inno Day 2020 held last year, the company showcased a fascinating Oppo X that brandished a rollable display. The 6.7-inch screen on the phone could seamlessly unroll into a 7.4-inch display - a clever way to avoid the notorious foldable crease. This upcoming foldable phone, which is rumoured to be named Find N, could be a more mainstream phone with an inward folding screen that should be available to the masses.
