Apple One More Thing event on November 10: What to expect and how to watch the live stream

Apple has scheduled an event for November 10 where it is expected to announce its homegrown silicon-based Mac-lineup. Apple, during WWDC this year, confirmed that it will transition from Intel to ARM-based processors for next-generation Macs that are due out by the end of the year, running on macOS Big Sur.

The ‘One More Thing’ event will be Apple’s third product launch event this year after the company hosted an event on September 15, where it took wraps off of the new Apple Watch Series 6, Watch SE, new iPads and more. This was followed by an event on October 13 where Apple launched the iPhone 12 series alongside the HomePod mini. This leaves the next-generation Mac-lineup as the likely candidate for launch on November 10. Here’s everything to know about Apple’s next event.

How to watch Apple’s November 10 event online?

Apple is hosting a ‘One More Thing’ event on November 10 that is slated to start from 11:30 PM. Like the last two events, this one too will be a virtual affair due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube and Apple’s website, and we have embedded the stream below for your convenience and you can enable the reminder to send an alert for when the event begins.

What to expect from Apple’s November 10 event?

Apple is expected to unveil new Macs running on its own processors that are based on ARM’s architecture. The Cupertino-giant has been making strides with its A-series processors that power its iPhones and iPads from years now. With its move to custom silicon, Apple aims to unify its product ecosystem as it has previously revealed that the custom silicon-based devices will be able to run iOS and iPadOS apps easily.

Going by the rumours, Apple is expected to announce two new ARM-based laptops during its November 10 event. As per a previous report, the company could launch a 13.3-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air as the first two products to feature the new Apple Silicon.

Another report by Bloomberg states that we could also get a 16-inch MacBook Pro, however, one should not expect any significant design changes yet. The new silicon is expected to be based on Apple’s A14 architecture that we have seen in the new iPad and iPhone 12 and will be customized for thermals and performance to match that of a full-fledged laptop.

As for the app compatibility, Apple has already announced the Rosetta2 that developers can use to extend compatibility between different CPU architectures.

Apple is also expected to announce the much-rumoured AirTags tracker that is expected to help users keep a track of keys and other smaller objects from a dedicated app on the phone. It was first expected to make an appearance during the September 15 event but was a no-show.
