Apple has officially released the iOS 14 for iPhones to the public after announcing the new Apple Watch Series 6, Watch SE, new iPad Air and more, earlier this week. Along with the iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7 and tvOS 14 are also being released for Apple iPads, Apple Watch and Apple TVs. The iOS 14 was unveiled back in June during the WWDC 2020, Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference.
The iOS 14 comes with a lot of visual changes and additions, some of them taking cues from Google’s Android OS. The iOS 14 supercharges the widgets and now users can customize it according to their needs. With the iOS 14, iPhones finally get an App Library that lists your favourite app in dedicated folders based on the app’s type. How to download iOS 14 and update your iPhone?
Apple iOS 14 is compatible with a host of existing iPhones and even the iPod. This list includes the iPod Touch (7th gen), iPhone SE (2016), iPhone 6/6s Plus, iPhone 7/7 Plus, iPhone 8/8Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS/XS Max, iPhone 11/11 Pro/11 Pro Max and the iPhone SE (2020).
So if you own any of these devices, you can check whether it has received the iOS 14 update. Go to Settings and tap on General. Choose Software Update from the list and tap on Download and Install.
