Abhishek Chaubey's Sonchiriya released on March 1 along with Luka Chuppi. Both the film belongs to completely different genres. While one is a family entertainer, the other is a dacoit-drama. Standing true to the trade analysts' predictions, Luka Chuppi has earned more than Sonchiriya. While Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon's movie has made Rs 8.01 crore at the box office, Chaubey's film set in the ravines of Chambal has earned Rs 1.20 crore on day 1.
