Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, a historical drama starring Kangana Ranaut has raked in Rs 8.75 crore on day 1. The movie which is based on warrior queen, Rani Lakshmi Bai, who fought until her last breath against East India Company. The movie has been directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Kangana Ranaut. It also features Atul Kulkarni, Jisshu Sengupta, Suresh Oberoi, Ankita Lokhande, Danny Denzongpa among others in pivotal roles. Lokhande, who shot to fame with Zee TV show, Pavitra Rishta has made her Bollywood debut with the flick.
