In September, Xiaomi launched its sixth generation of smartphones, the Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro, in India. Just three months after the launch, the next generation smartphones of the line-up have allegedly received the necessary certification in China. According to a report, three models - M1901F7E, M1901F7T and M1901F7C - have received the 3C certification and are listed on the website with a 10W charger. The unidentified models of these smartphones are said to be called the Redmi 7, Redmi 7A and Redmi 7 Pro because the ‘Note’ and the ‘Pro’ series of the Redmi device lineup have launched in a set of three in the recent past. For example, the Redmi 6 series of phones came with a 10W charger bundled in the box hinting that the next generation of the smartphones are in the making. The listing on the 3C website, a 10W charger and a trio of smartphones with similar model numbers all hint at the Redmi 7 series of smartphones. Two more listings were spotted on the 3C certification website with model number M1901F9E and M1901F9T. If speculation is to be believed, these two devices could be the Redmi Note 6, which was launched as the Redmi Note 6 Pro in India. Since Xiaomi has launched the phone in India and not in China, this listing could hint a possible unveiling of these devices on the company’s home soil. Another noteworthy thing is that most of the phones that debuted this year came with the M18 code by Xiaomi, these two listings suggest that they will be launched in 2019. Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro specifications The Redmi 6A is the most affordable device of the lot, and is powered by a 12nm quad-core Helio A22 processor. It features a 5.45-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 display aspect ratio. The smartphone features a 13P single sensor with Phase Detection Autofocus. On the front is a 5MP sensor with AI portrait and AI Beautify mode. The smartphone features AI Face Unlock and supports unlocking via a Mi Band as well. It runs on MIUI 9.6, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and is backed by a 3000mAh battery. The Redmi 6 sports a 5.45-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 display aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. The dual-SIM handset supports dual VoLTE with dual standby too and comes with AI Face Unlock, along with a fingerprint sensor. In terms of camera, the smartphone features a 12MP + 5MP dual-rear camera setup, which supports AI portrait mode. The device is backed by a 3000mAh battery and runs on MIUI 9.6 and is slated to soon receive the MIUI 10 update. The most premium of the lot, the Redmi 6 Pro features a 5.84-inch Full HD+ ‘notched’ screen with a 19:9 display aspect ratio. There is also an option to hide the notch in the device’s settings. It features an aluminium built and sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC and supports AI Face Unlock as well. The Redmi 6 Pro comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP Sony IMX 486 primary sensor and a 5MP secondary Samsung sensor. The smartphone is powered by a 4000mAh battery.
