The Xiaomi Redmi 3S, Redmi 3S Prime and the Redmi 4 users will be receiving the update to MIUI 10. The Global stable update is now rolling out to users, as announced by Xiaomi in the MIUI forum. The update is based on Android Oreo 8.1 Oreo and brings new features like a new UI, revamped systems apps and more. The file size for the update differs from phone to phone. For the Redmi 3s and the Redmi 3s Prime, the update version is MIUI 10 V10.1.1.0.MALMIFI while for the Redmi 4, it is V10.1.1.0.NAMMIFI. Xiaomi is rolling out via OTA and you can download it while connected to a fast Wi-Fi connection. Also make sure the phone have around 80 percent charge before installing the update. MIUI 10 brings features like new gesture-based navigation, picture-in-picture, a new recents menu, autofill support, improved photo editing and screen recording. You can check if the update is available by heading to Settings → About Phone → System Updates → Check for updates. In case you don’t get the update soon enough, Xiaomi has also released the download links for Fastboot and Recovery ROM which you can sideload to the respective phones. You also need to make sure you have a backup of all your data as the update may erase all your photos and messages.
