The first Open Beta for the device is also now available to users who want to try new features before everyone else. Additionally, OnePlus 6 phones that are currently on the Open Beta are being seeded with the OxygenOS beta 9. It brings a couple of system and phone updates, along with a much-awaited update for the OnePlus Switch app. In another development, the DxOMark lab has also announced its test results for the smartphone and it has received an overall score of 98, which ties it with the Google Pixel 2 for the 10th spot.  Starting with the stable OxygenOS 9.0.10 update, it adds a couple of system-level changes to the phone like updating its Android Security patch to December. The Wi-Fi stability is also optimised for better connectivity and there are some improvements to Face Unlock. In the camera department, the Nightscape mode should also exhibit improved performance after the update. OnePlus says that this update will reach the handsets OTA but is incremental and one might need to wait for some for some time before it is available for their unit. The Open Beta for the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T brings the same set of optimisations and features to the two phones. The Android security patch for the two phones is updated to December 2018 and the OnePlus Switch app now supports data migration from iPhone. Additionally, the phones will now display a toast message when parallel apps are unavailable due to data corruption. The phone will now add call history when receiving calls from unknown numbers and the Phone UI has been optimised for spam messages and calls. As mentioned earlier, the most notable addition is the update to the OnePlus Switch app to copy data from iPhones.  Finally, DxOMark is done with its testing of the OnePlus 6T and it says that the phone is better than the OnePlus 6 in terms of imaging capabilities. We know that the two phones have similar hardware, however, the software optimisation on the OnePlus 6T is said to give it an edge over its predecessor with better bokeh shots, increase dynamic range and detail preservation. The phone lacks in some areas like optical zoom and exhibits light in low light.  Related Reads: OnePlus 6T Review Warp Charge 30 on OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition detailed
