It looks like Huawei’s next flagship smartphone will continue the company’s trend of offering a top-notch camera. According to notable tipster, Evan Blass (aka @evleaks), the Huawei P30 might offer a triple-rear camera setup with a maximum resolution of 40MP and support for 5x lossless zoom. As for the front, the phone is said to offer a 24MP unit. In his tweet, Blass said, “The Huawei P30 promises to be another imaging powerhouse, according to someone who's seen one: triple rear camera, with a maximum resolution of 40MP and 5x lossless zoom, plus a 24MP selfie cam. And this isn't even the Pro variant.” The final sentence suggest that the Pro variant of the smartphone might offer even better camera specs.  Blass didn’t mention any other specifications of the phone, but the device will most likely feature the company’s new Kirin 980 processor. The processor was unveiled a new months ago, and was touted as the world’s first commercial 7nm chipset. Compared to the 10nm process, the company says that the 7nm process delivers 20 percent improved SoC performance and 40 percent improved efficiency. It added that the Kirin 980 is also the first SoC to use the Cortex-A76 cores, which are said to be 75 percent more powerful and 58 percent more efficient compared to their previous generation. In an octa-core configuration, the CPU in Kirin 980 is comprised of two high-performance Cortex-A76 cores; two high-efficiency Cortex-A76 cores; and four extreme efficiency Cortex-A55 cores. Currently, the Kirin 980 is offered in the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. However, it wasn’t the first 7nm chipset to make it to the market. Apple managed to beat Huawei to the market by offering the A12 Bionic chipset in its new lineup of iPhones, namely the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR.   The Huawei P30 promises to be another imaging powerhouse, according to someone who's seen one: triple rear camera, with a maximum resolution of 40MP and 5x lossless zoom, plus a 24MP selfie cam. And this isn't even the Pro variant. — Evan Blass (@evleaks) December 21, 2018
