PUBG for the XBox One is getting a Hotfix that will brings gameplay improvements as well as more control options for players. This includes a reduction in the instances of desync as well as the option to enable a forward movement deadzone. It also fixed issues in which the PUBG Limited Edition Controller DLC item (Male Jacket) would display incorrect color. As a token of appreciation, the developers announced that all Xbox players who log in after the maintenance is complete (PST: November 15 12:00AM-2:00AM) will get 20,000 BP and the Punk Jacket clothing item. The forward movement deadzone is aimed at players who had difficulty in moving in a straight line. The feature can be accessed under the controller settings in the ‘Forward Sensitivity’ option. Higher deadzone values equate to less sensitive movement of the left stick when moving forward. Initially, the hotfix would also close certain modes in select regions. This included NA FPP Duos, EU FPP Solo, and OC TPP Duo. As per the developer, this was done due to the high matchmaking times. However, the company later backtracked on this decision and stated that these modes will not be closed. “We have decided to revert this decision and will not be closing any of the modes today, due to community feedback. We do not make these decisions lightly and our last decision was originally made to provide a better experience in terms of quicker matchmaking. We understand that the interest in playing these modes are still there, and we will continue to look into other ways for healthy matchmaking times,” the developers noted in the patch notes. With the launch of PUBG on the PS4 just a few weeks away, developers as well as gamers would be hoping that game’s launch on Sony’s console goes off without a hitch. The PC as well as Xbox launches of the game were riddled with bugs and the company even started an initiative called FixPUBG in order to iron out the issues. PUBG is scheduled to launch on the PS4 on December 7, and is already up for pre-order on the PlayStation Store for Rs 2,790.
