Aamir Khan’s much-anticipated film Thugs of Hindostan, despite opening to tepid reviews by audience, did an enormous business on its opening day. On day 1, the Amitabh Bachchan starrer raked in Rs 52 crores, making it the highest opening film of 2018, hands down. Also starring Fatima Sana Shaikh in a pivotal role, Thugs of Hindostan was Aamir Khan’s Diwali offering to his fans. However, the reviews were lukewarm as compared to the hype created ever since its inception.
